Beginners Guide

Are you new to Club Penguin and think it’s hard? Well, with this guide, you will get to know more!

About Club Penguin

Club Penguin is a friendly game for kids in all ages! It was started in October 2005 by 3 awesome men! Did you know it was owned by New Horizons Interactive? Then, Disney bought Club Penguin in August 2007. Now, it is a major Disney virtual world!

Rules

Your job on Club Penguin is to respect others by not swearing, bullying, or do mean acts to other penguins. You must never give out personal information such as your address, your phone number, your email, your real name, or your penguin’s password. Also, do not talk about drug or alcohol activities, sexual acts, or racial words. Do you know about Penguin Storm or Money Makers? DO NOT USE THEM since they are third party programs which can get you banned. Any of these rules broken can get you kicked, or banned, somtimes banned forever.

Transport

One way of transporting around the island is by walking! But there are other ways too. The second way is by teleport. Though teleport is only for EPF agents, you can find it in your Spy Phone.

But, the most common use of transportation is the combination of walking & the map. Below is a picture of the map and the places on it.

The map key below is what you can find in these places.

Now you can find your map in the bottom left hand corner.

Now you know how to transport! The next section is, buttons and playercards!

Buttons and Player-Cards

First off, we have buttons. Buttons are the buttons which you press which can help you!

The chat bubble button is what you click if you are a Safe Chat Penguin. It has all the words you can say such as, Aaaahhh, Hi, Tag you’re it! The winking button is the emotes button. For more emotes, go to the Hidden Emotes page. The penguin button is for actions. The snowball button is to throw a snowball. The middle and second chat bubble button is for chatting. The membership button or star button is your player card. The smiley button is for buddies, users in room, and ignored players. The house button is your igloo. The question mark button is for the options and settings. Now on to player cards.

When you go to your player-card, there are 2 options you can choose. This is what they are.

  • A-Your inventory. It has your colors, clothes, backgrounds, EPF mission awards, and pins.
  • B-Your stamp book. It has all the stamps you have collected.

When you go to someone else’s player-card, there are many options you can do.

Here are the 7 options on the player card.

  • A- This is to add that person. If the person is added, its to delete that person.
  • B- This is to find this person. It is blocked if you are not the person’s buddy or if the person is offline.
  • C- This is to go to that person’s igloo. It is blocked if you are not the person’s buddy or if the person is offline.
  • D- This is to send a postcard to that person.
  • E- This is the other person’s stamp book.
  • F- To ignore the person.
  • G- This is to report the person.

Coins and Games

Coins give you a chance to buy items. But usually, they are most spent by members. You can earn coins by playing games! Games are almost in every room. Some rooms do not have games. But they are really fun! An example of a game is “Puffle Rescue.” It was released in early 2010. The longer you stay in a game, the more coins you get! Sometimes, there are cheats in which you do to get extra coins!

Parties

Parties come about every 1-3 months. Club Penguin hosts tons of parties! Sometimes, they always return it. One non-returning party will be the Underground Party. It was just held for the opening of the Underground Rooms. Some parties, have not come in a while, but may return! So if you missed a party, don’t worry, it might just come back!

Mascots

Mascots always return! The most visiting mascot is Rockhopper. He comes about every 4 months. The next most visiting mascot is Cadence. She comes twice a year. The next one is Penguin Band. The band comes once or twice as they come at Music Jam and sometimes the Penguin Play Awards. Aunt Arctic is next, she comes at the Penguin Play Awards. Gary comes at Halloween, and sometimes when there is a repair needed in Club Penguin like in the Festival of Flight in 2009. Sensei only comes during a new opening Card Jitsu.
